These committee nominations were made by Eberhart before her recent hospitalization, but had not been acted upon because of Eber-hart's feeling that it would be best for the new commissioner to make his or her own appointments. In her letter of resignation, Eber-hart asked the Board to forstall any decisions on committee members until after a new commissioner had been elected, but a majority of the Board felt that the need for the com-mittees to start their work precluded any further delay. The nominees were confirmed by a 4-1 vote. Jim Lovering, Webster sophomore, acting as proxy for Eberhart cast the dis-senting vote. With the resignation of Eberhart, who will be unable to attend school this semester, plans for a special election to fill the post are being finalized. An election board was formed consisting of the regular board and Lovering. Mike Rausch, Student Association Vice-president was named chairman.
