Koob, Jacobson practice for their recital to be held Friday. The Northern Singers will present their performance on Sunday, December 14, at 8 p.m. in JC. It's freel Joseph Koob II and Allan Jacobson will be featured at a Northern State College faculty recital to be presented Friday, December 12, at 8 p.m., in the Johnson Fine Arts Center. Violinist/ violist Koob will play Bach's "Sonata for Violin and Harpsichord in B Minor" and "Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major" by the late Romantic com-poser, Franck. A third segment of the program will feature improvisations Koob calls "Impressions on a Theme of NSC" which he will create on the spot, based on ideas suggested by the au-dience. Koob will be accompanied by Jacobson. The recital, which is open to the public and free of charge, will be followed by a reception in the foyer of the Johnson Center. Approximately 100 students will be receiving their degrees in the 14th win-ter commencement to be held at 10 a.m., December 13 in Johnson Center. Housing during the holi-days will be available in Lindberg Hall for students who need to remain in Aberdeen. To reserve a room for this period, contact Helen Olson, Lindberg manager, ext. 2414. Cost is $2.00 per night. If a resident has to remain in the dorm Thursday night because of a late exam, he/she is to contact the head resident to make arrangements.
