ElDora (Middlestead) Klose, 83,
Jamestown, died Monday, June
27, 2016 at the Sanford Hospital
in Fargo, surrounded by her fam-ily.
The funeral service was Thurs-day,
June 30 at St. John's Lutheran
Church, Jamestown, with Pastor
Erik Weber, officiating. Burial was
in Highland Home Cemetery.
ElDora Middlestead was born
on a farm in the Merricourt area
to Marie (Presler) and Ben Mid-dlestead.
The family moved to the
Jud area and later to LaMoure.
ElDora received her education at
and graduated from the LaMoure
High School in 1951. She taught
in a country school near Gackle
before moving to the Fargo area
and worked for a short time at
American Linen. She later moved
to Jamestown to work at the coffee
bar at the Red Owl Store.
She met Elmer Klose while
working at Red Owl. They married
on January 10, 1954, and made
their home in Jamestown. She
worked at various places including
the Queen City Market and Mont-gomery
Ward. When the family
started coming she retired to be-come
a stay at home mom. When
the family got older she went
to work at Pamida. When they
closed she went to work for the
Jamestown Public School System,
giving O.T. and P.T. to the handi-capped
children in the system.
ElDora worked there for about 20
years, a job she thoroughly loved.
She retired in 1994, due to illness.
After retirement she and Elmer did
a lot of traveling in their camper.
She is survived by her husband,
Elmer; four sons and one daugh-ter:
Michael (Monie), Tim, Wayne
(Melissa), Bonnie (Ranell) Hatch
and Randy Klose; 18 grandchil-dren,
20 great-grandchildren and
many friends. She was preceded in
death by her parents, two brothers,
one sister and grandson, Randy
(JR) Klose, Jr.
