Letter from Karoline Dobele
Glckstal, April 29th, 1934
Dear sister Rosina, I want to let you know that sister Christiana and her husband have died. She wanted to live with me, but I had no fuel. Then she was with her daughter Maria. She had suffered from dropsy, and it was very hard to cope with her. Nobody wanted to look after her. Throughout the winter I was always ill myself. I was bedridden, and now I am up, but I cannot work. I had a stroke, and so my whole body is ailing. And prospects here are very bad.
